Dial up internet musings

And once more, the internet is refusing to connect, which is really irritating! I really think we need to get broadband" Hopefully we will do soon! It seems pointless to pay for a service (I.e. dial-up) when it is unsatisfactory and doesn"t work how it"s meant to. I don"t think it"s particularly Tesco"s dial-up which is the problem, but dial up in general: I think it is an outdated mode of internet and is gradually dying out. Oh well, never mind, I have finally connected to the internet, and hopefully will stay connected long enough to go on msn and check emails etc.

Ok, so I have just been disconnected once more! This is getting quite annoying, as I do rely on the internet a lot as a free method of communication with which to arrange plans, for example tomorrow"s suit shopping. It"s quite strange how the internet has become such a huge part of everyday life, it was a novelty to begin with, only a few people had it, and to have hotmail and msn was a huge thing in school, much like facebook, bebo etc today. And today it"s no longer a luxury but in many cases a necessity. Schools, colleges and university"s use it to pass on messages between students and teachers, workplaces use it as a way of communicating internal messages between stores, depot"s etc, and people use it daily to communicate with people, via email, msn, facebook, to keep up with the news, to research, to play games, for so many reasons! It"s become as successful and popular as telephones, and in a relatively short timeframe.
